Garden State Philharmonic Announces upcoming Performances
NEW JERSEY - The 2008-2009 Garden State Philharmonic season promises to be filled with exciting music and exhilarating performances. The new season will begin with the Masterworks Series at Lakewood's Historic Strand Theater. Masterworks concerts feature symphonic favorites paired with newer works, often by American composers. Masterworks III, March 21, 2009 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 to $35.
Masterworks IV, April 18, 2009 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 to $35.
Masterworks V, May 9, 2009 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 to $35.
Family Pops Series - Pops concerts feature members of the Philharmonic presenting lighter fare and are performed throughout Ocean County.
Family Pops I, December 14, 3 p.m., Toms High School North. Tickets are $10 to $20.
Family Pops II, March 1, 2009 at 3 p.m. at Toms River High School North. Free.
Family Pops III, July, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at Ocean County Library in Toms River. Free.
Choral Series - The Garden State Philharmonic Chorus is accompanied by members of the Philharmonic and performs much of the great choral repertoire. This year, the GSP Chorus is joined by the Shrewsbury Chorale.
Choral Series I, December 6, 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 to $20.
Choral Series II, March 8, 2009 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 to $20.
