Knights Of Columbus To Hold Charity Event
JACKSON - The Knights of Columbus Council 6201 will be holding their first-ever Charity Texas Hold'em Tournament on September 27. Based on the popularity of this game, they anticipate having 200 people in attendance and see this as a wonderful opportunity for your business to get great exposure to local residents as well as help out a very worthwhile charitable cause. As part of the tournament, they plan to give out some really fantastic prizes to those who make it to the final table.
The Knights of Columbus is a family fraternal service organization, with over 1.6 million members worldwide. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people. The local council, the Mitchell J. Cetkowski Council #6201, located on Bartley Road, has over 35 years of service in the Jackson and Howell communities, serving the parishes of St. Aloysius and St. Veronica's. Their ability to donate funds locally and to help out families and organizations in the area is dependent on their many fundraising activities that they hold throughout the year.
They are looking for sponsors for the event and have two levels available. Event sponsor is $100, and table sponsor is $300. For your generosity, you will have your name listed on a sponsor sign, prominently displayed in the tournament room, in a program to be given to all participants and a listing on their Web site, www.kofc6201.com, for exposure to all who visit their site.
The proceeds of this event will go towards some local charities, and they include the Jackson Women of Today, Jackson Food Pantry and The Knights of Columbus Benevolent Fund. For more information, please call Michael Washington, event chairman, at 732-300-3166 or washmickey@aol.com.
