Bingo Event Commemorates National Assisted Living Week

JACKSON - In celebration of National Assisted Living Week, The Orchards at Bartley is inviting the community to join residents for a special Big Top Bingo event on September 8. It will be a carnival-like event featuring everyone's favorite past time, bingo.

This year marks the 14th annual National Assisted Living Week and will be held September 7 to 13. This year's theme is "Filling Life with Love." National Assisted Living Week is a week set aside to celebrate and recognize the exceptional involvement of families, providers, volunteers and individuals from the local community, who work together to ensure seniors have access to quality assisted living services.

Registration begins at 1:30 p.m., with bingo games beginning at 2 p.m. They will have carnival food, including popcorn, peanuts and beverages being served throughout the event. A scrumptious dessert bar will open at 3 p.m. Big Top Bingo will be held on Bartley's scenic grounds under a tent. In the event of rain, games will be moved indoors. Prizes will include gas cards, movie tickets, theme baskets and lots more. Free transportation will be provided to the event, with advance notice and registration.
