OCC Sign Club Announces Upcoming Events
OCEAN COUNTY - On July 12, the Sign Language Club from Ocean County College will hold a car wash fundraiser at Lightning Lube, 120 Atlantic City Blvd. in Beachwood, starting at 12:30 p.m.
On August 2 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., they will be hosting a picnic at the Ocean Township Pool and Tennis Facility, 615 West Park Ave., Oakhurst. The cost is $20 for anyone age 12 or older, $12 for children 5 to 11 years old and $5 for children ages 2 to 4. Children under 2 are free. Price includes food, beverages and admission to the facility. To attend, contact the Sign Club officers at the e-mail below before July 21 for payment instructions.
The Sign Club also holds events each month for anyone who wishes to socialize using American Sign Language. All skill levels are welcome. They meet on the first Tuesday of each month at the Monmouth Mall food court and on the third Thursday each month at the Ocean County Mall food court. Both events start around 6:30 p.m.
