Shore Points Roller Derby To Presents The Boardwalk Brawlers

NEW JERSEY - Shore Points Roller Derby (SPRD) proudly presents their finest roller derby team, the Boardwalk Brawlers' debut bout. The debut will feature an evening filled with skating, hard-hitting, nail-biting excitement. The Boardwalk Brawlers will battle The Sisters of Mayhem from Hackettstown. SPRD will also host a full men's bout, the New York Shock Exchange (NY) versus the Diamond City Death Kings (PA), the same evening. The fun-filled evening, bringing together women and men's roller derby, will take place July 13 at GoodSports in Wall.

The bout will offer more than your average sporting event and draws a diverse audience. Roller derby is experiencing a national resurgence. It is a full contact, aggressive, competitive sport conducted on four-wheeled skates. The roller derby that you will see is not faked.

Shore Points Roller Derby is an all women, flat-track roller derby league with members from central and southern New Jersey and Philadelphia. SPRD was founded in March 2007 with the intention of bringing the sport of roller derby to the Jersey Shore and providing an alternative form of entertainment. The league is comprised of likeminded, strong, intelligent women who share a goal of emotional growth and physical strength through the sport of roller derby. Shore Points Roller Derby follows the guidelines and standards set forth by Women's Flat Track Derby Association, www.wftda.com.

Shore Points Roller Derby is looking to expand its roster. Women of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to join. No experience is required, and all skating levels are welcome. For pictures and more information, visit their Web site, www. boardwalkbrawlers.com.
