| JACKSON - Under the guidance of their teachers, Mrs. Londregan and Mrs. Mooney, fourth grade students at St. Aloysius School in Jackson recently led a school-wide food drive for the Mercy Center of Asbury Park, a center that provides food and shelter for those in need.
All of the fourth graders participated by collecting food from each class, packing it into boxes and loading the Mercy Center van. The St. Aloysius students and their families donated approximately 16 boxes of food and over $200. Dot McAvay, the outreach coordinator at the Mercy Center, expressed her sincere thanks for our ongoing support. "I am always thrilled with the response we receive from St. Aloysius School. Their efforts and hard work each year are very much appreciated."
