Jazzercise Offers Free Week For National Fitness Month
JACKSON - In honor of National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, Jazzercise of Jackson is offering one free week of Jazzercise to the public through May 17.
National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, sponsored by the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, is an observance held every May. It is designed to make the public aware of the benefits of a lifelong program of regular, moderate physical activity as prescribed by the Surgeon General's Report on Physical Activity and Health.
Engaging in a moderate amount of physical activity, such as taking a brisk 30 minute walk on most days of the week, is recommended to prevent the onset of health problems.
Jazzercise classes are held at the Jackson Volunteer Firehouse No. 1, 113 North New Prospect Road, on weekday mornings, late afternoon, evenings and Saturdays. Participants are encouraged to take advantage of the free week offer during Open House for National Fitness Month.
Participants interested in attending the free week offer should dress comfortably in clothing they can move in, wear supportive sneakers and bring a water bottle. Class schedules can be obtained by calling Lisa Hogan at 732-928- 7891 or visit www.jacksonjazz.com.
