Optimist Club Of Jackson Announces May Events
JACKSON - The Optimist Club of Jackson has announced their upcoming events in May.
May 24, 8:30 a.m. to noon - The Optimist Club of Jackson will sponsor a Sidewalk Chalk Art Show for children and adults of all ages at Jackson Crossing on Hope Chapel Road. Register 8 to 8:30 a.m. with refreshments and prizes. This event is free. For further information, call 732- 928-1787.
May 24, 6 p.m. - John F. Johnson Jr. Memorial Park, Cooks Bridge Road and Manhattan Street, The Fuzzpops will hold a free outdoor concert sponsored by Jackson Township. For further information, call 732- 928-1200 extension 255.
May 25, 12:30 to 3 p.m. - The Second Annual Pet Show/Contest will be sponsored by the Optimist Club of Jackson and Jackson VFW Post 4703, Magnolia Drive, which is the location for this event. Register from noon to 12:30 p.m. for this free event open to Jackson residents only. For further information, call 732-928-1787.
May 26, 9 a.m. - 60th Annual Memorial Day Parade in Jackson Township. Pre-registration is mandatory for any marching unit. Lineup is at 9 a.m. at the Jackson Memorial High School, and the parade will proceed to Justice Complex. Open house immediately following the parade at Jackson VFW Post 4703 on Magnolia Drive.
